The selection process aims to help young entrepreneurs who have promising business ideas or plausible foundations to achieve their aspired success. The evaluation criteria include the degree of innovation, added value for customers, industry and environment, and, most importantly, personal commitment.

    eco is Europe’s largest association that focuses on the Internet industry. Since 1995, eco has significantly shaped the development of the Internet in Germany, promoted new technologies, infrastructures, and markets, and helped formulate the various framework conditions. The association honors future-oriented companies for their outstanding products, projects, or services with this coveted prized.

    Since 1998, the KfW bank group awards the KfW prize to young German companies that were founded less than five years ago and that have managed to successfully establish their creative and sustainable business ideas in the market. The award is given at the „German Founders and Entrepreneur Days” (deGUT) trade fair. This year’s fair will be held in Berlin in October.

The entrepreneurs are evaluated depending on their courage, innovativeness and openness to take risks, reliability, commitment, and strength.

    TOP JOB was established in 2002 and stands for outstanding employer qualities. With technical support, the personnel activities of German SMEs are evaluated and honored with the TOP JOB quality seal. The evaluation is based on HR analyses and staff surveys.

  9. Startup Bavaria 2015

    Startup Bavaria is the cross-media and entrepreneurial format of PULS, the young BR program. Six Bavarian start-ups are guided and supervised by experienced business coaches for a duration of four months. The start-up with the best development is named „Bavaria’s next big thing!” and also gets invited to Texas for one of the largest trade fairs in the digital & creative industry. The jury consists of the Bavarian Economics Minister, Ilse Aigner, Nikolaus Röttger, Chief Editor of the tech magazine Wired Germany, and Oliver Bücken from TUM, the start-up center of TU Munich.
